Since I was a boy, I thought my way around the
circle.
Color
has always engulfed my eyes, ears and hands, tongue and nose as energy that
flows from light. It
is a part of us, and in a way I am not able to understand, I get it.
The
color moves me and I move the color, and little does it matter the nature of
the subject. If I use a photograph or if I simply use my imagination, I am
still confounded by those to this day that would consider my work so called
graphic design, when it is clear that more than just design is made through
my art.
It is
true, no doubt, that Digital Art does beg the question of mass production and
originality, but that is a point of business and not art.
I do not
spend hours of my time creating in the hopes that I might windfall and make
millions. I sit in my studio everyday making art because I think or delude
myself that I have something to say.
I am
encouraged by my family. We laugh inside: a lot.
Distribution has always been an artist's worse enemy, and it seems the
ability to market is what fuels the debate as to the value of this type of
art.
In the
end, you decide the value, and that is only derived by whether or not what
your eye will see will make your soul need for what your eye does see: the
art.
I have
had many people tell me they know nothing of art, and I respond, yes, you
do, you know what you like and what you don't like.
Regardless, as the debate goes on as to what the value of this art form is,
I will simply continue to make art to push my imagination as well as yours!
Peace.
